It’s a cliché that people in a certain industry assume everyone around them will find their industry just as fascinating as they do – in romantic movies one of the easiest ways to demonstrate that one of the suitors for the leading lady is unsuitable is to show him boring everyone as he talks on and on about his job as an accountant, or a banker, or a car salesman. And we sit in the audience, laugh out loud, and think how awful he is.
Sad to say, but we're guilty of this too. We really love our commercial cleaning business, meaning that we often find ourselves discussing specific cleaning situations, much to the horror of our family and friends. There's no excuse. We love bumping into other cleaning professionals and asking our favourite question (because we wouldn't get away with discussing this with ordinary non-cleaning people). And our very important questions is this: What's your favourite chemical?
It's All About Chemistry
That’s because you won’t find anyone who loves science more than the people who own and operate a cleaning company. We’re well aware that without modern chemistry we wouldn't have such an interesting livelihood, plus our businesses and homes wouldn't be as clean.
Way back when, all people had to work with was soap and water. If you were serious, you might use lye and risk your health in order to get the surfaces in your home as clean as possible.
However, today we have lots of choices. That can lead to a bit of choice paralysis, though: With so many great choices, how do you choose? And once we've made a decision, it's our experience that most companies become quite attached to their choice and identify with it - and we're definitely not the exception. Halo Fast Dry
So what's our chemical of choice? Oates Laboratories’ Halo Fast Dry. At the risk of sounding like a commercial: This stuff is amazing.
We can’t tell you how often customers call to ask what we use, because they can’t believe we get their spaces as clean as we do as fast as we do. It would be great to announce that we actually have robots doing our cleaning, or that on account of time travel we actually clean your home before we even arrive there, but it's actually a whole lot simpler - we really LOVE Hal Fast Dry. We use it on glass, windows, chrome, and laminate - it cuts through dirt and grease, it doesn't cause streaking, and it dries immediately. Hal Fast Dry is our go-to chemical for all our cleaning jobs, and we do get heaps of jobs.
We could explain that the ingredients of Halo Fast Dry are Butoxyethanol and Isopropanol, but we believe the real chemical is magic. Magic, because it enables us to get your cleaning completed much quicker and more thorough than any other product we've previously tried.
But we do try other things, because this is more than what we do – this is who we are. And if we discover a new ‘go to’ chemical, we’ll be sure to let you know!
